Who doesn’t love a good break-up song?! Luis Fonsi’s “Corazón en la Maleta” reminds me of my high school days of listening to Alanis Morrissette and lamenting the end of a relationship. Even though it is about a break-up, the melody is very up-beat.
Here’s what’s great about it:
-The song has a lot of great travel vocabulary, such as avión, me voy, por tren, etc.
-There are tons of examples of the future tense and reflexive verbs. While this song might be better suited for upper levels, my Spanish 1 students really enjoyed it.
-Also, I made this great Close activity to go along with it: Corazón en la Maleta cloze.
